Content Calendar

The Calendar provides a visual overview of all your scheduled, published, and draft posts across every platform and campaign. You can schedule, reschedule, and manage posts directly from the calendar without opening individual post editors.

Calendar Views

The calendar offers three views, toggled in the top-right corner:

ViewBest For
MonthSeeing your content spread over the full month
WeekDay-by-day planning with hour-level detail
DayReviewing a single day's posting schedule

Reading the Calendar

Each event on the calendar represents a post. Events are color-coded:

ColorStatus
BlueScheduled
GreenPublished
GrayDraft
YellowPending Approval
RedFailed

Platform icons appear on each event so you can see at a glance which platform a post targets.

Scheduling from the Calendar

Create a new post:

1. Click on any empty time slot in Week or Day view.

2. A new post editor opens with that date and time pre-filled.

3. Write your content or generate it with AI, then click Schedule.

Schedule an existing draft:

1. Open the post list panel (click Posts in the sidebar).

2. Drag a draft post from the list onto a calendar slot.

3. The post is scheduled for that date and time automatically.

Rescheduling

Drag and drop:

1. Click and hold any existing post event on the calendar.

2. Drag it to a new date or time.

3. Release to confirm the new schedule.

4. A confirmation dialog appears — click Yes, reschedule to save.

Note: Rescheduling a Published post only changes Automrktr's records; the live post on the platform is not affected.

Edit the schedule directly:

1. Click on a calendar event.

2. In the post detail panel that opens, click Edit.

3. Change the date/time manually and save.

Filtering the Calendar

Use the filter bar above the calendar to show only specific posts:

  • By Platform — Show only Facebook posts, only Instagram posts, etc.
  • By Campaign — Focus on posts from one campaign
  • By Status — Show only drafts, scheduled, published, etc.

Multiple filters can be applied simultaneously.

Gaps and Posting Frequency

If you have a campaign with a set posting frequency, the calendar will highlight gaps — days where no post is scheduled but one should be. This helps you maintain a consistent publishing cadence.

Click a highlighted gap to quickly create a post for that slot.

Calendar and Approval Workflow

When a campaign requires approval:

  • Pending Approval posts appear in yellow on the calendar.
  • They cannot be moved or rescheduled until approved.
  • Approvers can click the event and approve directly from the calendar view.

If you use Content Series, each series appears as a labeled row in Week and Day views, making it easy to see your recurring content rhythm at a glance.

Exporting the Calendar

You can export your scheduled content as a CSV for reporting or sharing with clients:

1. Click Export in the top-right of the Calendar page.

2. Choose your date range.

3. Download the CSV with all scheduled and published posts, their platforms, and timestamps.

Tip for Agencies: Use the export feature to share upcoming content plans with clients for review before posts go live.
